About the Role

Sono Motors is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Supply Chain department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the materials and components for our developed Solar Bus Kit (SBK) and other products sourced from our suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement processes and procedures for supplier quality management
  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
  • Work closely with suppliers and the procurement team to develop and implement corrective actions and ensure quality requirements are met in supplier agreements and contracts
  • Monitor supplier performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality metrics, and conduct root cause analysis and problem-solving activities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all quality-related issues concerning suppliers
  • Provide training and guidance on quality standards and best practices to suppliers and team members
  • Prepare quality reports and documentation for all relevant stakeholders and present them
  • Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier quality and operational efficiency
  • Manage quality issues during series production, including supplier evaluation, supplier selection, manufacturability analysis, and the review and assessment of sampling documents and first samples

Requirements

  • University degree in a technical field or a technical training with further education in the areas of quality management (QM), product quality, and/or supplier quality
  • At least four (4) years of relevant professional experience in a manufacturing or product development environment
  • Experience in implementing QM standards (DIN ISO 9001, IATF 16949)
  • High level of quality awareness and attention to detail
  • Experience in parts and process sampling (PPF/PPAP), advanced product quality planning (MA/APQP), and problem-solving methods (8D, Ishikawa, 5Why)
  • Fluency in English and German
