PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The role is dedicated to enhancing the training and educational initiatives for personnel within company facilities and programs across a designated geographical region. This position is responsible for delivering standardized, competency-focused training and development programs, which include new employee orientation, preceptor training, facility-specific in-services, as well as clinical, quality, and customer service training programs aimed at promoting superior patient care and achieving organizational initiatives and objectives.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Aligns training activities with regional, group, and corporate business objectives. Complies with nursing practice standards, company policies, procedures, and all regulatory and ethical requirements. Directs all educational programs towards fostering a culture of patient safety, achieving clinical quality targets, and enhancing patient outcomes, adhering to company and industry standards. Cultivates the necessary competencies and skills to educate staff on all chronic kidney disease treatment modalities. Encourages a culture of continuous learning through professional development programs, coaching, and the use of available technologies. Collaborates with key stakeholders at all levels to schedule, deliver, and implement educational programs and processes for both new and existing staff. Employs suitable educational methods and generational learning techniques to effectively deliver, support, and assess training. Partners in the execution of action plans through to resolution, as necessary. Utilizes facilitation techniques and a variety of resources to create immersive and engaging learning experiences. Maintains open, effective, and timely communication with internal and external stakeholders, including management, facility teams, healthcare providers, and contracted personnel. Exhibits leadership competencies, exceptional communication skills, customer service orientation, commitment to continuous quality improvement, relationship building, critical thinking, team collaboration, employee motivation, performance management, and decision-making abilities. Supports metric and KPI initiatives with timely documentation, reporting, and ongoing quality improvement efforts. Keeps abreast of products, services, and strategies to adequately train staff across all modalities. Performs other related responsibilities as assigned.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
The physical demands and work environment characteristics described are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position. The position necessitates frequent, prolonged periods of standing, and the employee must be capable of bending. Occasionally, the employee may need to move, with assistance, equipment weighing up to 200 lbs., and may lift chemical and water solutions weighing up to 30 lbs. as high as 5 feet. The employee may be required to perform essential functions of this position in various locations, which may include overnight stays, under similar physical demands and working conditions. NoneEDUCATION AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited School of Nursing. Advanced degree BSN or MSN (preferred). Current appropriate RN state licensure in primary state of residence. Must obtain and maintain RN state licensure in assigned states as directed. Must meet the practice requirements in the state of employment. Minimum of 1-year dialysis experience as a Registered Nurse. CDN or CNN certification (preferred) or must attain within 18 months of employment.
