Position Overview: Corporate Travel Counselor

We are seeking a dedicated Corporate Travel Counselor to enhance our operations and support our esteemed clientele. This role primarily involves working closely with corporate clients to manage their travel needs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver professional and knowledgeable consultation to corporate clients regarding their travel inquiries and requirements, ensuring adherence to diverse travel policies and compliance standards.
  • Facilitate the booking of travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, and car rentals, utilizing platforms such as START/AMADEUS and other travel management tools.
  • Oversee travel bookings through the governmental TMS workflow.
  • Ensure the approval and monitoring of travel expenses in accordance with federal travel regulations.
  • Address incoming client inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels.
  • Provide guidance on entry and visa regulations, as well as assist with visa procurement.
  • Prepare travel documents, invoices, and credits as required.
  • Manage refunds for unused travel documents and handle any related complaints.
  • Conduct administrative tasks, including the preparation of billing statements and reconciliation processes.
  • Address follow-up inquiries from clients regarding billing discrepancies and other issues.
  • Maintain and update client profiles for accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • A qualification in travel management or a related field is preferred, with candidates nearing completion of their studies also encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in corporate travel services within a full-service travel agency is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of IATA, DB, and key travel suppliers such as airlines and hotel chains.
  • Proficiency in START/Amadeus and MIDOCO systems is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to teamwork.
  • A commitment to service excellence and quality assurance.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.
  • Familiarity with federal travel regulations is a plus.
  • Proficient in both English and German, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
