Postdoctoral Researcher in Robotic Fabrication for Sustainable Construction

The Universität Kassel is seeking a highly motivated Postdoc to join our research team in advancing sustainable digitalization in architecture and construction through bio-fabrication.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of experts in materials science, architecture, robotics, and engineering to develop a new robotic biofabrication infrastructure.
- Design and build biofabrication prototypes, and analyze data using simulation and machine learning to predict and program material behavior.
- Develop and execute experiments, and explore novel bio-materials, re-use of waste materials, and bio-joining.
- PhD in areas Architecture, Engineering, or related fields, with research experience in digital fabrication, robotics, or biofabrication.
- Good knowledge of English or German.
- Interest in interdisciplinary teamwork within architecture, engineering, and robotics.
- Knowledge of scripting/programming (Python, C#).
- Prior knowledge of robotic/digital fabrication.
- Thorough and independent way of working.
- A high level of organizational skills and teamwork.
