Role Overview
As the Manager of Chemical Compliance and Hazardous Materials, you will play a pivotal role in executing, coordinating, and supporting our Business Area to ensure adherence to Chemical Regulations.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and refine processes that provide clear guidance on managing Chemical Regulations within the Business Area.
- Monitor and analyze potential introductions and modifications of existing Chemical Regulations pertinent to the Business Area.
- Evaluate the implications of Chemical Regulations and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to coordinate necessary actions.
- Act as the primary internal contact for inquiries related to Chemical Regulations from both customers and internal teams.
- Fulfill notification obligations arising from Chemical Regulations for products marketed by the Business Area.
- Establish, maintain, and enhance a systematic approach for managing hazardous substances, particularly focusing on chemical raw materials utilized in production.
- Ensure the identification of applicable legal requirements and obligations regarding hazardous substances, fostering awareness among stakeholders.
- Develop and conduct training on standardized regulatory requirements for hazardous materials across all materials used in production.
Qualifications:
- A university degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field (B.Sc., B. Eng.).
- Extensive technical experience in regulations management.
- Experience within the automotive sector is advantageous.
- Comprehensive understanding of legal requirements and compliance obligations concerning chemical raw materials and products.
- Proficient in risk management, including assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Fluent in English, with strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and assertively.
