Chemical Regulations and Hazardous Substances Specialist

Job Description
As a Chemical Regulations and Hazardous Substances Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with chemical regulations within the Business Area. Your main tasks will include:
- Developing and implementing a process to provide clear guidance on handling chemical regulations
- Screening for potentially introduced and changed chemical regulations relevant to the Business Area
- Assessing the impact of chemical regulations and coordinating derived actions with relevant parties
- Providing a central point of contact for customer and internal requests related to chemical regulations
- Executing notification obligations derived from chemical regulations for products placed on the market by the Business Area
- Implementing and maintaining a systematic approach for managing hazardous substances, focusing on chemical raw materials in series production
- Ensuring identification of applicable requirements and obligations, with a focus on regulatory restrictions for the usage of hazardous substances, and ensuring awareness among relevant stakeholders
- Establishing and training common standards based on regulatory requirements for hazardous materials instruction for all productive and non-productive materials in the Business Area
Requirements
- University degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
- Technical experience with at least several years in regulations management
- Experience in the automotive industry is beneficial
- Sound knowledge of legal requirements and compliance obligations for chemical raw materials and chemical products
- Risk management, including assessments and mitigation methods
- Fluent English language skills
- Independent working ability and assertiveness
- Communication and presentation skills
