About the Role:

Ryanair is seeking a dedicated Payroll Specialist to enhance our European payroll operations. This role is pivotal within our German payroll team, where diligence, initiative, and enthusiasm are essential components of our daily workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processes for various EMEA regions.
  • Facilitate system integrations between HR and payroll platforms, addressing any discrepancies that arise.
  • Adjust payroll data in response to salary modifications for internal movements.
  • Verify the accuracy of information for new employees, including tax and banking details.
  • Prepare monthly payroll-related journal entries.
  • Contribute to ongoing expansion initiatives and provide ad-hoc reporting as necessary.
  • Test new setups, system enhancements, and updates that impact Global Payroll.
  • Compile and process spreadsheets for variable payments and deductions.
  • Assist with the bulk loading of payroll spreadsheets.
  • Support internal controls and procedures, including documentation and testing.
  • Prepare third-party payments and engage in various payroll projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of payroll experience.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Experience with SAP and Employee Central Payroll is advantageous.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in advanced Excel.
  • Familiarity with German payroll practices.
  • A methodical and efficient work ethic, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and detail.
  • Capacity to meet deadlines, along with strong interpersonal and professional skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work demands and willingness to work outside standard hours when necessary.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will possess experience in German withholding and social insurance calculations, alongside excellent analytical capabilities. A high degree of initiative, strong interpersonal skills, and effective communication abilities are essential.
