Position Overview- Define, refine, and assess requirements for safety at the system level concerning automated driving and driver assistance functionalities.
- Provide updates to the Safety Systems Manager regarding the progress of safety-related deliverables, metrics, and key performance indicators.
- Develop, assess, review, and interpret functional and technical safety frameworks and specifications.
- Perform comprehensive error assessments such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP), and establish error detection and prevention strategies based on the findings.
- Assess the efficacy and resilience of safety specifications through simulations and/or practical driving tests.
- Validate safety components using appropriate testing methodologies and environments.
- Engage in technical dialogues and provide support within the development team and project framework.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Multiple years of experience in the automotive field, especially in system and/or software development.
- Strong understanding of ISO 26262 and hands-on experience in implementing functional safety requirements.
- Experience with error assessment techniques (FMEA, FTA, HAZOP, etc.).
- Familiarity with the development process in accordance with Automotive SPICE.
- Excellent communication skills in both German and English.
