Job Responsibilities

  • You will oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for group legal entities, ensuring compliance with IFRS and German GAAP (HGB) while guaranteeing timely and precise submissions to the Group.
  • Your role will involve coordinating activities within the general ledger accounting domain as part of our Global Business Services, with a focus on consolidating, standardizing, and automating accounting functions.
  • You will provide expert advice to stakeholders on financial matters, taking into account relevant accounting regulations.
  • Your proactive approach will be key in optimizing accounting processes and implementing solutions aimed at enhancing and harmonizing these processes.
  • You will support various entities from both an accounting and process perspective across a wide array of topics and initiatives.
  • As the primary contact for the assigned unit, you will liaise with auditors, tax advisors, authorities, and other internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance, Accounting, Auditing, Tax, or a related field, complemented by several years of relevant professional experience in accounting roles.
  • Strong knowledge of HGB and IFRS accounting standards, along with familiarity with (German) tax law.
  • Extensive experience with SAP R/3, particularly in the FI module; additional experience in process automation is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, a high degree of initiative, and a structured, independent work approach.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential, and comfort in an international environment is expected. Additional German language skills are also necessary for this position.
  • Excellent teamwork abilities, reliability, and a strong results-oriented mindset are crucial.
  • A positive attitude towards changes driven by increasing digitalization, viewing them as opportunities to contribute and share innovative ideas.
