Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Translator/Interpreter to join our team in Wiesbaden, Germany. As a Translator/Interpreter, you will be responsible for translating technical and administrative materials from German to English and vice versa, as well as providing interpretation services between German and English speaking parties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate technical and administrative materials from German to English and vice versa
  • Provide interpretation services between German and English speaking parties
  • Process requests for installation access for local national employees and contractors
  • Review documents for program compliance and develop request packages for signature
  • Prepare and process requests for Common Access Cards (CAC) for local national employees
  • Receive visitors and phone calls and direct them to staff members as needed
  • Take care of routine matters and refer others to the appropriate point of contact for action
  • Arrange conferences and meetings for staff members
  • Maintain the calendar for the Chief Engineering
  • Serve as Training Coordinator
  • Assure all personnel are aware of mandatory and available training courses and schedules
  • Assist in completing and submitting necessary paperwork for training
  • Disseminate training documents and forward completed training course documents to CPOC
  • Utilize office automation equipment to create documents, reports, charts, and communicate information to organizational elements
  • Review documentation for correct format and grammar
  • Maintain and operate an archive of contractual and project documentation files
  • Coordinate actions with DPW Operations & Maintenance, Master Planning and Real Property Divisions
  • Maintain and operate several databases, including PRA, Project Database, and GFEBS (cProjects)
  • Request project data from pertaining agencies and update databases accordingly
  • Prepare and initiate funding documents to send funds to contracting agencies
  • Prepare OT requests, travel orders, personnel requests, time and attendance reports, photo permits, awards, reference letters, meeting minutes, SOPs, presentations, and other required reports
  • Maintain the Engineering suspense listing
  • Assign tasks to appropriate offices, establish internal suspense dates, track tasks, and determine when extensions are appropriate
  • Ensure responses to suspense's are responsive, timely, and prepared correctly
Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled Translator/Interpreter with a strong background in German and English languages. The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2 years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 2 years of experience as defined in B below
  • Language Proficiency Level C2 in both English and German
  • Office automation skills
  • Driver's license class B is desired
