What We Offer
As a Research Assistant (m/w/d) for Reactor Design, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that drive innovation and sustainability in the chemical industry. You will be part of a team that is passionate about developing new technologies and improving existing processes. Job Responsibilities
- Conduct CFD simulations to investigate the impact of the inlet region of a catalyst bed on the flow regime
- Analyze and optimize chemical reactors for efficiency and sustainability
- Develop strategies to reduce unwanted by-products and energy consumption in chemical processes
- Evaluate simulation results with data from large-scale industrial plants
- Develop strategies to improve resource and energy usage in the chemical industry
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related technical field
- Strong knowledge of chemical process engineering
- Experienced in using MS Office and familiar with AspenPlus and CFD; programming skills are desirable
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data
- Ability to work independently, critically evaluate content, and collaborate effectively in a team
- Proficient in German and English, both in writing and speaking
