About the Role

We're seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Research Assistant (m/w/d) for Reactor Design. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that involve:

• Conducting CFD simulations to investigate the impact of the inlet region of a catalyst bed on the flow regime.
• Analyzing and optimizing chemical reactors for efficiency and sustainability.
• Developing strategies to reduce unwanted byproducts and energy consumption in chemical processes.
• Evaluating simulation results with data from large-scale industrial plants.
• Developing strategies to improve resource and energy usage in the chemical industry.

Requirements

• You're an enrolled Bachelor's student in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related technical field.
• You have good knowledge of chemical process engineering.
• You're experienced in using MS Office and have some experience with AspenPlus and CFD; programming skills are desirable.
• You bring strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
• You work independently, critically evaluate content, and can work well in a team.
• You're proficient in German and English, both in writing and speaking.
