Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our Data Center Operations team. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for providing direct supervision to professional individual contributors and/or skilled, support individual contributors. You will also be responsible for ensuring the team is carrying out responsibilities in a timely manner and projects are progressing as expected.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct supervision to professional individual contributors and/or skilled, support individual contributors
  • Ensures the team is carrying out responsibilities in a timely manner and projects are progressing as expected
  • Manages personnel details including salaries, positioning, hire/fire, reviews, coaching and development
  • Assists with testing and coordinating projects and maintenance
  • Plans, coordinates, budgets, and implements resources to complete projects and maintenance within the data centers
  • Develops and manages routine operational plans
  • Meets targets typically against a monthly plan
  • Provides input and guidance towards budget
  • Overall site capacity supervision
  • Oversees contractor work and operations to ensure completion to Equinix's required standards
  • Assists with start-up tests, documenting and reporting all problems
  • Communicates and coordinates activities and on-site staff during an incident

Qualifications

  • Minimum of proven years of related experience or equivalent work experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
