EMEA Corporate Real Estate Portfolio Lead

This is a unique opportunity to join Amazon's Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) team as a Senior Portfolio Manager for the EMEA region. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing Amazon's corporate portfolio in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, with a focus on our Stores, Devices, and AWS business teams.
Key Responsibilities- Portfolio Management: Act as the primary point of contact between business teams and the Global Real Estate Organisation, representing the end-to-end life cycle of sourcing, securing, designing, funding, operating, and exiting corporate real estate locations.
- Team Management: Manage a team of contractors providing an efficient and cost-effective service to all building occupants in the delivery of facilities services, providing management, direction, monitoring, and evaluation of performance and delivery against the agreed specification.
- Space Optimization: Maximize the potential of the real estate portfolio while improving space utilization, ensuring assets are kept in good order and business needs are met.
- Project Management: Oversee new building openings, expansions, and significant projects working together with the EMEA capital projects team and subsequent vendors to meet project scope, managing communication with occupants, country leaders, and works councils.
- Decommission Strategies: Work together with the EMEA Leasing and Transaction Specialist on decommission strategies throughout the business and execute for responsible countries.
- Financial Management: Work together with the EMEA Finance Manager to prepare annual budgets, manage and report on monthly operating expense for the region versus budget, including providing forecasts.
- Procurement: Work together with the EMEA Procurement team to ensure our key suppliers remain competitive while providing a quality service, and new services are procured using a robust sourcing framework.
- Candidate Profile: CRM or equivalent business partnering CRM experience, 7+ years of experience in a facilities and real estate environment, English fluency, excellent communication skills, and advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in MBA, real estate or facilities-related degree, advanced Microsoft Excel qualifications, and financial or accounting background and qualifications.
