Position: Real Estate Development Lead (m/w/d) - Full-time

Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Real Estate Development Lead to join our Business Development Team. This role presents a unique opportunity within the real estate investment sector of the hospitality industry, especially following our recent acquisition by Stepstone Group Real Estate. The successful candidate will experience rapid personal development and increased responsibilities due to our flat team structure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the acquisition of suitable properties, primarily in the DACH region.
- Provide analytical support for real estate transactions, including financial analysis and underwriting processes.
- Assist in market and financial analysis related to acquisition, leasing, and financing processes.
- Develop and update financial models for acquisitions and leasing opportunities in collaboration with Development Managers.
- Prepare investment memoranda and information packages for internal investment committees, executive boards, and financial institutions.
- Analyze operational data from existing hostels for performance comparisons and underwriting purposes.
- Support the Head of Development in transaction processes, including letters of intent, structuring, and negotiation of transaction documents.
- Evaluate potential development and capital project proposals to ensure alignment with operational performance and investment return criteria.
Candidate Profile:
- Comprehensive understanding of real estate acquisition dynamics and a strong interest in the hospitality sector.
- 3-4 years of experience in an analytical, investment, or real estate development-related role.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and pay attention to detail.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and German; additional European languages are a plus.
- Professional demeanor with credibility and appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, with experience in financial modeling.
