Responsibilities

In this role, you will concentrate on the creation of an advanced base controller featuring slippage estimation. Your tasks will include assessing current methodologies and formulating an innovative approach for slip estimation and wheel velocity regulation, utilizing wheel rotation speed and torque data, alongside inputs from the robot localization system. You will implement your solutions using ROS in C++, regularly testing your algorithms on our outdoor robot CURTmini and analyzing their effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming
  • Familiarity with ROS
  • Passion for mobile robotics
  • Proficient in English or German
