About the Opportunity

Welcome to Contentful, a premier Content Management System (CMS) that enables organizations to efficiently publish content across diverse channels. Our platform provides developers and content creators with essential tools to manage and deliver captivating digital experiences, from websites and mobile applications to smart devices and digital signage.

We are seeking a seasoned Principal Product Manager to join our team and spearhead innovation within our Digital Team OS product line. In this pivotal role, you will be key in designing scalable platform primitives and infrastructure that empower customers to enhance their content and experiences through AI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive AI platform product strategy and roadmap to assist customers in transforming their content and experiences through scalable and extensible platform capabilities.
  • Establish and track vital product metrics and KPIs to assess product success.
  • Lead product discovery initiatives and actively engage with customers to gather insights into their needs. Cultivate a deep understanding of their content systems, foster relationships, and drive collaborative design and innovation.
  • Guide the product development process by providing clear product requirements and iterating swiftly.
  • Work closely with engineers and AI infrastructure partners to conduct technical research and develop APIs, services, and complex systems at scale.
  • Coordinate with pricing, marketing, and legal teams to ensure products comply with security and legal standards and are successfully launched.
  • Keep stakeholders and senior leadership updated on product status, progress, and risks for high-visibility projects spanning multiple product lines.

Qualifications for Success

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, particularly in developing B2B products for enterprises.
  • A strong API and platform mindset, with prior experience in building platform capabilities and creating scalable solutions.
  • A thorough understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, ideally with experience in implementing AI capabilities at scale using platform services.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for navigating environments with high uncertainty and exploring uncharted territories.
  • Solid product management skills, including product strategy, prioritization, customer discovery, and a proactive approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and foster alignment on strategy and execution.
