We are seeking a highly skilled Mathematician / Actuary / Physicist Life and Health Reinsurance to join our team at Hannover Re. As a key member of our Life and Health Reinsurance team, you will be responsible for expanding and cultivating our worldwide annuity portfolio, working closely with international locations and our Data Analytics- and Group Risk-team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Modelling, pricing, and underwriting individual annuities and pension blocks
  • Preparing portfolio and product analyses
  • Customer support and presenting reinsurance solutions
  • Data analysis and determining mortality assumptions
  • Developing individual strategies and concepts for the marketing of annuity reinsurance products

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in (business) mathematics / physics
  • Initial experience in the (re-)insurance industry with a focus on longevity is desirable
  • Well-versed in the use of Excel and R as well as other programming skills
  • Strong communication skills paired with proficient user skills in English and independent user skills in German
  • Interest in training as an actuary
  • International mindset and willingness to travel
