Hardware Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Hardware Developer to join our product development team at BioAnalyt. As a key player in the specialized field of measurement devices, you will be responsible for evolving our sophisticated hardware architectures and firmware solutions.

Your primary focus will be on developing initial concepts, designs, and feasibility studies, as well as designing hardware architecture and system design to ensure alignment with technical specifications. You will collaborate with other departments or customers to analyze technical requirements and prepare detailed specifications.

Key responsibilities include setting milestones and planning releases for both electronics and optical development, overseeing and assessing experiments, measurements, and functional tests, identifying and qualifying new components for use in our products, and assessing design changes for their impact on functional safety.

You will also support manufacturing and quality assurance as products move to mass production, develop or adapt test equipment and programming devices to meet quality standards, lead the commissioning and verification processes, establishing test criteria for validation and production, and contribute to the updating and improvement of existing product lines.

Additionally, you will serve as the technical liaison for customers, development partners, and component suppliers, and report directly to the Team Lead of Product Development, providing updates and insights on project progress.

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in hardware development, with a strong portfolio to show.
• Proficiency in hardware development and simulation tools.
• Preferably, a good understanding of hardware-related programming.
• High self-motivation and a proactive, hands-on approach to tasks.
• Independent, structured, and process-oriented work style.
• Fluent in both German and English, with excellent communication skills.
