Senior Hardware Engineer

We are seeking an exceptional Hardware Developer to play a key role in the development of our innovative measurement devices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hardware development, with a passion for designing and implementing cutting-edge electronic and optical components.

The successful candidate will be responsible for evolving our sophisticated hardware architectures and firmware solutions, from conceptualization to final production. This involves developing initial concepts, designs, and feasibility studies, as well as collaborating with other departments or customers to analyze technical requirements and prepare detailed specifications.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop hardware architecture and system design, ensuring alignment with technical specifications.
• Design and implement electronic and optical components, ensuring high-quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze technical requirements and prepare detailed specifications.
• Oversee and assess experiments, measurements, and functional tests.
• Identify and qualify new components for use in our products.
• Assess design changes for their impact on functional safety.
• Support manufacturing and quality assurance as products move to mass production.
• Develop or adapt test equipment and programming devices to meet quality standards.
• Lead the commissioning and verification processes, establishing test criteria for validation and production.

Requirements:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in hardware development, with a strong portfolio to show.
• Proficiency in hardware development and simulation tools.
• Preferably, a good understanding of hardware-related programming.
• High self-motivation and a proactive, hands-on approach to tasks.
• Independent, structured, and process-oriented work style.
• Fluent in German and English, with excellent communication skills.
