Meteosat Spacecraft Operations Specialist

About the Role

OHB Digital Connect GmbH, a subsidiary of the Bremen-based space and technology group OHB SE, is seeking a skilled Meteosat Spacecraft Analyst to support satellite operations services for EUMETSAT. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Meteosat weather satellites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily activities in the control center and manned facilities to ensure seamless satellite operations.
  • Perform mission analysis and prepare reports to demonstrate system operability and availability.
  • Develop and maintain the satellite and ground segment database to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Analyze system issues by collecting and evaluating data sets using available reporting and analysis tools.
  • Collaborate with the user or customer to resolve mission operations and reconnaissance information issues.
Requirements
  • Degree in computer science, telecommunications, physics, or aerospace engineering.
  • Experience with real-time systems and procedure execution in an operational environment.
  • Structured and analytical approach to work.
  • Fluency in English, with German an advantage.
  • Knowledge of space communication, radio frequency technologies, and/or ground segment systems is an asset.
