Job Description:

Your Mission:

As a Compliance Verification Engineer - Avionics, you will be part of the Office of Airworthiness, ensuring the VoloCity Avionics design meets certification requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Avionics Engineering Team in design choices and test planning, focusing on certification risks.
  • Prepare and conduct meetings with authorities to consent on the certification strategy and Means of Compliance.
  • Drive the Certification Program hands-on for Avionics aspects, collaborating with Airworthiness Engineers and the Engineering Department.
  • Report certification risks and potential mitigations to the Head of Airworthiness.
  • Formally verify compliance in the field of VoloCity Type Certification.
  • Participate in rulemaking activities in VTOL Avionics design.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in aerospace development projects with certification activities, ideally as a CVE or DER.
  • Detailed knowledge of certification processes (Part 21) and EASA requirements (CS-23, CS-25, CS-27, CS-29, SC-VTOL).
  • Knowledge of certification deliverables according to DO-160, DO-178, and DO-254, aligned with ARP4754A.
  • Prior participation in standardization or rulemaking activities, such as EUROCAE or ASTM.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
