Your Role & Tasks

As an Investment Associate at Yunus Social Business, you will play a crucial role in identifying, sourcing, and evaluating potential investments that align with our company's mission to disrupt capitalism and solve social and environmental problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough financial, operational, market sector, and strategic analysis of potential investments.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the impact ecosystem, including accelerators, funds, and capacity builders.
  • Perform due diligence processes, including validation of business and financial models, and preparation of memos for Investment Committee meetings.
  • Coordinate with third-party providers on legal and financial diligence and contract negotiation of potential investments.
  • Support the team in portfolio management, including monitoring and reporting of portfolio companies' performance, and assessing new opportunities for follow-on loans.
What You Bring to the Table

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a proven track record in investment management, particularly in the Colombian market. You should have a strong educational background in industrial engineering, economics, finance, business, or related fields, and solid financial modeling skills.

  • Years-long experience leading investment deals, including due diligence, contract negotiation, and loan management.
  • Deep understanding of debt structures and the socio-economic and political context of Colombia.
  • Strategic mindset to understand complex business and produce solid investment memos.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, with excellent communication skills to present investment deals to the Investment Committee.
