Purchasing Team Lead

We're looking for a talented individual to join our team and contribute to the development of our premium brands, such as Husqvarna and Gardena.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of purchasers in strategic and operational management, focusing on supply chain optimization and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement a successful supplier strategy, identifying and developing new suppliers to meet business needs.
  • Analyze market trends and derive options for action to drive business growth.
  • Monitor supplier performance and negotiate contracts and prices to ensure delivery, cost, and quality targets are met.
  • Support and develop your team in day-to-day operations, standardizing internal processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with project management and R&D to drive new product development and ensure supplier goals are met.
  • Monitor and support suppliers in regards to environmental, social, and governance.

Requirements:

  • Completed studies in industrial engineering, business administration, logistics, or a comparable field, with specialized further training.
  • Several years of professional experience in purchasing, both nationally and internationally.
  • First-hand experience in disciplinary management in national and international teams.
  • Expertise in strategic and operational collaboration with suppliers and partners in Asia and Eastern Europe.
  • Social skills, team-orientation, ability to work under pressure, assertiveness.
  • Strong negotiating and communication skills.
  • Goal- and results-orientated way of working and the ability to think analytically in business terms.
  • Experience in lean management is an advantage.
  • Advanced SAP/CRM knowledge and confident handling of MS Office.
  • Business fluent in German and English.
  • Willingness to travel.
