Senior Director of HR Programs Change & Communication (m/f/d)

Objective:

In the role of Senior Director, HR Programs Change & Communication, you will be responsible for designing, overseeing, and executing change management and communication strategies aimed at enhancing the adoption of HR initiatives and facilitating a comprehensive HR Transformation. The primary goal is to implement change and communication strategies for the Excellence 4 People (E4P) program, ensuring alignment with business and HR expectations while adhering to established timelines, budgets, and quality standards. You will possess a deep understanding of the organizational context, recognizing external influences that may impact both the programs and the broader HR operational landscape. Your leadership experience will empower you to mentor and guide project teams through various challenges, risks, and management activities. Additionally, you will serve as a strategic consultant on people-related matters, focusing on seamless execution to expedite the adidas HR Transformation while fostering strong internal and external communication and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the E4P (Excellence 4 People) project team, responsible for delivering global HR Transformation and large-scale initiatives that align with the adidas People Strategy and HR roadmap:

Change Management & Communication for Programs & Projects:

Successfully manage end-to-end change and communication processes, from concept to execution, ensuring alignment with business and HR needs. Demonstrate a strong drive for execution to achieve impactful change management and communication outcomes. Maintain an overview of the E4P project portfolio to ensure comprehensive consideration of change and communication requirements across all initiatives. Collaborate proactively with all E4P projects to ensure a unified approach. Provide leadership and direction to change and communication resources within a matrix organization. Champion HR change initiatives both internally and externally.

Resource Management and Project Oversight:

Formulate, lead, and manage a cross-functional team (including virtual and functional reports) to achieve optimal results. Oversee the alignment and allocation of financial, material, and human resources necessary for successful project and program delivery. Collaborate with Non-Trade Procurement to manage vendor relationships for projects and programs, including staffing and supplier costs. Provide clear direction and objectives to team members/direct reports in alignment with HR strategy and program goals. Ensure adherence to project management standards and methodologies, acting as an internal consulting unit with a consistent project management approach based on best practices and HR expertise. Conduct engagement reviews and verify the implementation of quality assurance procedures, ensuring project and program delivery meets established KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). Foster a motivational and supportive work environment that encourages employee development through coaching and training opportunities. Continuously assess team workload and organizational efficiency, utilizing IT systems, data analysis, and team feedback to make necessary adjustments to meet HR and business objectives.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Establish strong collaboration with Corporate Communications to ensure that communication deliverables adhere to adidas communication guidelines while remaining innovative to meet program needs. Design and implement an Advocate network for E4P to facilitate consistent and frequent information dissemination to a broader audience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Extensive experience in developing organization-wide communication strategies and change management principles, preferably within a complex program environment. Proven leadership and coaching capabilities. Hands-on approach with a strong focus on execution. Exceptional analytical, visionary, and conceptual thinking skills, with expertise in HR organization. Demonstrated success in leading and implementing large-scale programs and projects. Ability to anticipate challenges and plan accordingly. Skilled in simplifying complexity and managing dependencies. Proactive and effective communication skills (verbal, written, and visual) at all organizational levels. International perspective and fluency in English.

Strong integrative skills, including:

Required Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

A minimum of 10-13 years of relevant experience, preferably in a global management consulting environment or in HR. A University Degree in Business or a related field. A proven track record in change management, communication, and project management. The ability to connect tasks and procedures into cohesive processes.
