Lead Negotiation Strategist

Your Role
You will oversee the preparation of high-stakes negotiations, focusing on objectives, tactics, alternatives, and arguments, as well as managing the process and conducting simulations when necessary (e.g., scenario planning) With your expertise, you will guide the complete negotiation lifecycle, from initial analysis to post-negotiation evaluations of successful outcomes In particularly challenging or intricate negotiations, you will act as the primary negotiator You will collaborate with external stakeholders who support the negotiation efforts You are responsible for developing, promoting, and training the SMS organization on the negotiation methodology toolkit to ensure systematic and professional negotiation practicesYour Profile
You possess an outstanding master's degree or diploma; preferred fields include business administration, macroeconomics, mathematics, or computer science; specialization in negotiation-related studies (e.g., game theory or auction theory) is advantageous; an MBA or PhD is a plus Relevant experience or additional training may compensate for the educational background You have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in preparing and executing negotiations for complex strategic and/or high-value transactions, ideally within a high-tech sector You can provide concrete examples demonstrating your extensive negotiation experience (e.g., large-scale purchasing, partnerships, and mergers & acquisitions) You have a proven track record of successful negotiations with various international entities Ideally, you have taken on (lateral) leadership roles within negotiation teams and have been responsible for the entire negotiation process Experience in delivering training sessions on negotiation techniques is desirable You are characterized by high cognitive, interpersonal, and emotional intelligence You possess full professional proficiency in at least German and English Your extensive professional experience has allowed you to cultivate a robust network within the negotiation field, including specialized consulting firms or negotiation simulation providersYour ZEISS Recruiting Team:
