Job Title: Dangerous Goods Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dangerous Goods Officer to join our team at Alfred Kärcher SE & Co. KG. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe transportation of dangerous goods and compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise colleagues on all aspects of dangerous goods transportation, including regulatory compliance and risk management.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with ADR/RID/ADN/IATA regulations and prepare annual reports as required.
  • Investigate accidents, malfunctions, or infringements and take appropriate action to prevent recurrence.
  • Train and instruct employees on relevant changes in dangerous goods legislation and ensure they are up to date with the latest regulations.
Requirements:
  • Completed technical or commercial studies (e.g. chemistry, technical business administration, economics) or comparable qualification.
  • Several years of relevant work experience is an advantage.
  • Valid training as a dangerous goods officer for road (optional: rail), sea, and inland waterways as well as an IATA training certificate would be desirable.
  • Knowledge of dangerous goods legislation GGVSEB, GbV, ADR/RID, ADN, GGVSee, IMDG-Code, IATA-DGR, and related legal areas.
  • Business fluent in German and English, additional language skills are an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel (inter)nationally (approx per year).
