Position Overview:
We are in search of a skilled and proactive Laboratory Operational Excellence Manager to spearhead and enhance the operations within our global Quality Control (QC) laboratories. The successful candidate will champion continuous improvement efforts, ensuring that laboratory processes are efficient, compliant, and uphold the highest quality standards.
Core Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute operational excellence strategies aimed at boosting productivity, efficiency, safety, and quality across QC laboratories globally.
- Guide cross-functional teams in the implementation of process enhancement projects utilizing methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
- Perform regular evaluations and audits to pinpoint improvement opportunities and guarantee compliance with best practices and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with global QC laboratory leaders to harmonize processes and disseminate best practices.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful outcomes.
- Deliver training and mentorship to personnel on operational excellence principles, tools, and safety initiatives.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the progress and effectiveness of improvement initiatives.
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the QC laboratories.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific discipline, engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a laboratory or quality control setting, with a strong emphasis on operational excellence.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing large-scale process improvement initiatives.
- Certification in Lean, Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt), or other relevant operational excellence methodologies is advantageous.
- Comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment.
- Willingness to travel as required.
