Lead Technical Documentation Specialist

We are in search of a proficient and seasoned Technical Writer to enhance our innovative product team. Your expertise will be essential in crafting detailed and user-centric documentation for our robotics solutions within the intralogistics sector. By collaborating with product owners, marketing managers, and technical leads, you will ensure our documentation adheres to the highest standards of clarity, precision, and accessibility. Additionally, you will oversee the idealworks Academy (e-learning platform), facilitating training for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage the comprehensive documentation process for idealworks, encompassing partner, product, support, academy, and training materials.
- Create and sustain technical documentation for our robotics solutions, including user guides, installation manuals, API documentation, and release notes.
- Engage with product owners and technical leads to grasp product features, functionalities, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate closely with product marketing managers to ensure documentation aligns with product messaging and positioning.
- Translate intricate technical concepts into clear and concise written materials tailored for diverse audiences, including end-users, developers, and system integrators.
- Oversee the idealworks Academy (e-learning platform), facilitating training for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience (2-3 years) as a technical writer in the technology sector, ideally with a focus on robotics, automation, or intralogistics.
- Strong comprehension of technical concepts related to robotics, automation, software development, and hardware systems.
- Familiarity with documentation tools is advantageous.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and effectively in both English and German.
- Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to producing precise and high-quality documentation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and experience working in Agile teams is a plus.
