About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Writer to join our dynamic product team at IDEALworks GmbH. As a Senior Technical Writer, you will play a crucial role in creating comprehensive and user-friendly documentation for our robotics solutions in the intralogistics domain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for our robotics solutions, including user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, and release notes.
  • Collaborate with product owners and technical leads to understand product features, functionalities, and technical specifications.
  • Work closely with product marketing managers to ensure that documentation aligns with product messaging and positioning.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise written materials suitable for various audiences, including end-users, developers, and system integrators.
  • Manage the idealworks Academy (e-learning platform), enabling trainings for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (2-3 years) working as a technical writer in the tech industry, preferably with a focus on robotics, automation, or intralogistics.
  • Strong understanding of technical concepts related to robotics, automation, software development, and hardware systems.
  • Proficiency in documentation tools is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively in both English and German.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality documentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and experience working in Agile teams is a plus.
