Technical Documentation Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Writer to join our Technical Documentation Department in Munich, Germany. As a key member of our team, you will play a leading role in supporting project deliverables and processes, utilizing your advanced technical writing skills to create high-quality, user-oriented content for existing product lines and new product development in our Agile development environment.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure high-quality and technical accuracy of content, adhering to company style guides, terminology guidelines, and relevant best-practice guidelines, as well as compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Effectively communicate project status and issues to the Technical Publications Project Manager and/or other stakeholders, as required.
- Develop soft- and technical skills to support Technical Publications activities and objectives.
- Contribute to our localization process, possibly taking a lead role.
- Provide senior-level support for Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs processes.
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, or related field, and at least 5 years of full-time technical writing experience, ideally in the medical device field.
- Advanced-level skills in communication, writing, and grammar in the English language at the native-speaker level.
- Ability to take ownership of small projects, guide and/or mentor team members, and effectively collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and project leads.
- Advanced-level experience in the localization of technical documentation in a regulated environment.
- Expert in understanding and using content management systems (CMSs), XML, and DITA.
- Extensive experience in SDL TriSoft, XMetal, Acrolinx, Illustrator, and creating media content (video and still imagery).
- Terminology management experience.
- Working in a diverse, multinational R&D environment, and in an Agile development process.
- German and/or other language skills.
