Accountant

The Accountant plays a crucial role in the Finance & Planning department at DNV, reporting directly to the Team Lead Accounting. Key responsibilities include efficient and timely customer invoicing, with a focus on minimizing WIP days to maximize cash flow. Effective communication with internal and external clients is essential, ensuring timely, clear, and professional interactions on all related topics.
Key Tasks:
- Invoicing and revenue-related tasks: Issuing, inscribing, and managing outgoing invoices for Germany, USA, and China, as well as handling credit management activities and customer inquiries.
- Accounting tasks: Managing incoming invoices, operational expenses, travel expenses, and corporate card payments, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Financial tasks and improvement initiatives: Collaborating with external accounting companies, participating in financial closings, and contributing to production software and finance process improvements.
Requirements:
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- Positive and proactive attitude, with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Strong client communication skills and ability to build and maintain excellent relationships internally and with clients.
- Strong written and verbal German communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role, with experience in Oracle or finance/accounting CRM an asset.
