The Accountant is a key member of the Finance & Planning department at DNV, reporting directly to the Team Lead Accounting. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure efficient and timely customer invoicing, with a focus on minimizing WIP days to maximize cash flow in the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer invoicing for Germany, USA, and China, including issuing, journaling, and linking with external accountants.
  • Handle credit management activities, such as writing reminders and communicating with internal departments.
  • Process incoming invoices, including operational expenses from DNV offices abroad and external auditors.
  • Manage travel expenses, corporate cards, and cash box payments.
  • Communicate with external accounting companies and participate in financial closings.

Requirements:

  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and TEAMS.
  • Positive and proactive attitude, with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong client communication skills and ability to build relationships internally and with clients.
  • Strong written and verbal German communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role.
