Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Renewable Energy Project Developer to join our team at RWE Renewables Deutschland GmbH.

About the Role:

  • Coordinate and manage the permitting process for multiple solar energy projects in Germany, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and laws.
  • Work closely with the project leadership team to provide expert guidance on permitting and regulatory matters.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with government agencies, local authorities, and industry stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and mitigate potential project risks.
  • Provide proactive support to the project team to ensure timely completion of projects.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in permitting and regulatory affairs for solar energy projects in Germany.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including the German Building Code (BauGB) and the Renewable Energy Act (EEG).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with government officials, local authorities, and industry stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential project risks.
  • Fluent German and excellent English language skills.
  • High level of travel required within Germany.
