Position: Project Manager, Sustainability (m/f/d)

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Sustainability Project Manager collaborates closely with the Head of Sustainability, playing a vital role in the LivaNova LEIP team, ensuring effective governance and execution of our sustainability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities of the Sustainability Project Manager

  • Support the Head of Sustainability and the ESG Task Force in implementing the Sustainability strategy through data collection, analysis, and project management assistance
    • Collect, organize, and analyze global data to meet regulatory obligations
    • Develop and refine processes and data frameworks to ensure reliable and scalable information
    • Lead project management efforts for Sustainability initiatives that may contribute to business unit growth
  • Maintain a centralized framework for Sustainability requirements
  • Stay informed about tools and technologies that facilitate Sustainability efforts
  • Assist in managing transformational change related to Sustainability both internally and externally

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Aggregate and model data using Lean methodology and problem-solving techniques
  • Oversee the delivery of both global and localized projects, managing budgets, resources, and timelines with minimal oversight
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, identify risks, and implement corrective measures
  • Quickly adapt to new processes, policies, and technologies
  • Research and apply best practices from the Sustainability industry
  • Create and document processes using flow diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and user guides
  • Establish and enforce processes that enhance ESG key performance indicators and financial accountability

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in Lean methodologies, capable of leading and facilitating Lean events (Kaizens, workshops, etc.)
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-volume environment while meeting deliverables
  • Proficient in engaging diverse stakeholders at all levels, fostering motivation and collaboration across various cultures and time zones

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Engineering or an ESG-related discipline
  • Experience in organizational project delivery and change management is highly preferred
  • Lean or Six Sigma training/certification is advantageous
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel (Vlookup, Pivot Table, Macros)
  • Willingness to travel regionally and internationally with minimal supervision
