Lead Data Protection Strategist

Your Role - As the Lead Data Protection Strategist, you will be instrumental in refining and advancing our Data Protection policies and practices. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of international Data Protection regulations, exceptional discretion in managing sensitive information, and a strategic mindset to implement a Data Protection framework that aligns with our Corporate Compliance goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust Data Protection strategies to ensure adherence to global regulations, including GDPR.
- Continuously update the Data Protection framework to incorporate changes in legislation, standards, and international policies.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and Subject Matter Expert on Data Protection, providing guidance on specific cases.
- Communicate regularly with senior leadership regarding the status, challenges, and developments in the Data Protection arena.
- Consult with both domestic and international subsidiaries on Data Protection matters, facilitating the creation of effective solutions.
- Understand business objectives to provide risk-based counsel, enabling the achievement of goals while ensuring compliance.
- Conduct Privacy Assessments and Data Protection Impact Assessments, identifying potential risks and advising on mitigation strategies.
- Draft, maintain, and revise STADA's Data Protection policies, ensuring their integration into all relevant business processes and advising on associated risks.
Candidate Profile
- A diploma or Master's degree in law, economics, or a related field.
- 3-6 years of experience in a global corporate environment focused on Data Protection, ideally within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sectors.
- Certification in Data Protection (e.g., CIPP, CIPM) is advantageous.
- Demonstrated success in managing Data Protection strategies and compliance initiatives.
- In-depth knowledge of domestic and international Data Protection laws.
- Commitment to high ethical standards and professional integrity.
- Strong project management and process design capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to conduct training sessions effectively.
