Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Garden Center Associate to join our team. As a Garden Center Associate, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and assisting customers with their gardening needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the garden center and surrounding areas.
- Assist customers with their gardening needs, including answering questions and providing product recommendations.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card transactions, and returns.
- Restock shelves and displays, and maintain inventory levels to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Participate in visual merchandising and display maintenance to create an attractive and inviting store environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the success of the store.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and credit card transactions.
