Position Overview
TE Connectivity's Product Management Teams oversee every facet of a product, from spearheading new product innovation to production and marketing. They are accountable for the comprehensive product strategy, business leadership, and capacity planning to achieve sales and profitability objectives.
Market Analysis & Strategic Development
- Formulate go-to-market strategies, including channel strategies and partnerships
- Analyze market trends, demand influencers, customer requirements, industry developments, and competitive dynamics
- Execute market segmentation initiatives to create tailored strategies for specific market segments
- Conduct competitive assessments and benchmarking
- Establish segment-specific value propositions that surpass competitors
- Collaborate with R&D and operations to innovate new products that fulfill current and future customer needs
- Oversee the product lifecycle management
Business Planning (Achieve cross-functional alignment with the plan)
- Identify resource needs essential for executing the product roadmap
- Collaborate across functions to define sales, technology, and operational strategies and objectives aligned with financial targets
Execution – New Product Development & Launch
- Organize product launches, including the creation of marketing and sales strategies
- Participate in client meetings to support the acquisition of new business
- Demonstrate thought leadership
- Provide insights to Marketing Communications for the creation of promotional materials, including e-commerce content
Execution – Post-Launch Product Management
- Drive sustained profitable growth
- Equip sales teams to advocate for the product line through training and the development of materials that effectively communicate the value proposition
- Manage special pricing requests
- Monitor progress against the business plan and facilitate the resolution of discrepancies
- Act as the advocate for resolving product-related issues (e.g., quality, delivery, etc.)
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in product management, sales, or engineering; an MBA is preferred
- Relevant product or industry experience is advantageous
- Proficient in German, with fluency in English
- Proactive approach to customer engagement
- Excellent communication skills
