Job Overview

We are in search of a highly skilled and motivated employment attorney to become a part of our Global Employment Law team. This role will primarily focus on strategic initiatives, including projects in the Artificial Intelligence ('AI') sector, as well as M&A activities within the employment law domain. Additionally, you will have the chance to provide legal guidance on everyday employee-related issues that arise within the organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to engage with innovative topics in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee global employment law projects, collaborating with colleagues in the Global Employment Law team, as well as the broader Legal and Global People teams.
  • Provide counsel to key stakeholders regarding employment law and employee privacy issues, particularly in relation to developments in the AI field.
  • Offer business-oriented, risk-balanced legal advice on a comprehensive range of global employment law matters that may emerge during M&A transactions, including deal structuring, due diligence, employee transfers, consultation requirements, and harmonization of employment terms.
  • Draft employment agreements, separation agreements, non-compete agreements, and other necessary employee-related documents for M&A transactions.
  • Collaborate with and manage external legal counsel during M&A transactions.
  • Work alongside the Global People organization from the inception of deals through post-acquisition integration to ensure alignment with legal requirements and organizational values.
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop scalable and compliant processes and playbooks for M&A and post-acquisition integration.
  • When not engaged in strategic projects or M&A, provide risk-based legal advice on a variety of employment law issues, including hiring, separations, investigations, employee relations, restructurings, compensation, benefits, leaves of absence, DEI matters, and employee privacy.
  • Contribute to the creation of ServiceNow's Legal Services Delivery applications, envisioning and deploying workflows on the ServiceNow Platform to enhance the effectiveness of our legal departments.

Qualifications:

  • A strong work ethic, exceptional judgment, and unwavering integrity.
  • A Juris Doctor degree with excellent academic credentials.
  • A minimum of 4 years of employment law experience at a prestigious law firm or in-house legal department of a multinational corporation, with M&A experience being essential; familiarity with employee-related AI and data privacy matters is a plus.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and experience managing complex global employment law projects, with the ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across various geographical locations.
  • Capability to analyze complex issues, assess risks, and provide concise, actionable legal and risk mitigation advice.
  • A demonstrated global perspective.
