Job Title: PV Engineering Manager

At Taylor Hopkinson | Powered by Brunel, we are seeking a highly skilled PV Engineering Manager to join our team. As a key member of our onshore renewable energy business, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of photovoltaic projects in Germany.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, energy engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering photovoltaic projects in Germany. You will be responsible for designing and optimizing solar PV plants, developing solar PV design packages, and supervising the EPC works.

We are looking for a candidate with excellent interpersonal and time management skills, who is able to work effectively in a team environment. You will be required to travel nationally and internationally, and must have a strong understanding of the German administration licensing process for renewable projects.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field, and a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field. You will also have experience working with PVSYST software, and experience in batteries projects is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize solar PV plants
  • Develop solar PV design packages
  • Supervise the EPC works
  • Develop requirements for SCADA and communication solar PV plant facilities
  • Take engineering lead on solar-specific projects
  • Represent the company with relevant stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering photovoltaic projects in Germany
  • Experience working with PVSYST software
  • Experience in batteries projects is a plus
  • Strong understanding of the German administration licensing process for renewable projects
