The role of Solutions Engineer (SE) is a multifaceted position that emphasizes customer engagement and technical expertise. SEs collaborate closely with Cyber Account Managers to address client requirements effectively in both pre-sale and post-sale scenarios.
As we expand our technical team to meet the demands of our growing customer base, we seek a seasoned professional with a background in pre/post sales roles, preferably within technology sectors. Comprehensive training and support will be provided to enhance your existing skill set.
Regular attendance at the Munich office is expected, with a minimum of two days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage Darktrace deployments in both pre-sale and post-sale phases alongside sales counterparts.
- Develop and document success criteria and business case materials.
- Assist in crafting responses to RFIs/RFPs.
- Design deployment strategies and architectures tailored for clients.
- Foster strong technical relationships with clients and partners.
- Position yourself as a trusted advisor, consulting on cybersecurity architecture and strategy.
- Remain informed about industry trends and technologies to differentiate from competitors and identify integration opportunities.
- Anticipate approximately 20% travel requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a software sales engineer or technical account manager role; cybersecurity experience is highly preferred.
- Fluency in English and German is essential.
- Demonstrated success in selling, developing, and implementing security operations and technologies across large, complex enterprises in various industry sectors.
- Strong understanding of both on-premise and cloud networking.
- In-depth knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a track record of building significant business relationships.
- Ability to take initiative and adapt in a fast-paced, challenging sales environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Self-driven and goal-oriented mindset.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related fields is desirable.
- Experience in innovative security solutions and resilience in tackling complex challenges is a plus.
- Public speaking experience and comfort in senior-level presentations and discussions are advantageous.
- Experience in defining security strategies and driving aligned outcomes is beneficial.
- Experience in a CIRT/SOC environment is a plus.
- Practical knowledge of threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) is desirable.
- Experience in threat hunting is a plus.
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CEH, Pen Testing, or Incident Response are desirable.
- Cloud Security qualifications are a plus.
- Experience in Operational Technology environments is advantageous.
