The Research Alliance Ruhr is a collaborative initiative of the three major universities in the Ruhr area, established by the Ruhr Conference. Our mission is to drive innovation and excellence in research, focusing on four key areas: One Health Ruhr, Chemical Sciences and Sustainability, Trustworthy Data Science and Security, and Future Energy Materials and Systems.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead our research efforts as a Young Investigator Group Leader. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and executing research projects, mentoring junior researchers, and contributing to the development of our research strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute research projects in collaboration with our research centers
  • Mentor and supervise junior researchers
  • Contribute to the development of our research strategy and goals
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance our research agenda

Requirements:

  • PhD in a relevant field
  • Proven track record of research excellence and leadership
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
