Join Serco's Team as a Mission Controller

Serco is a leading Space Services Provider with a rich history of supporting over 50 space missions on behalf of top Space and Government agencies worldwide. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Mission Controller to join our team at EUMETSAT's site in Darmstadt, Germany.

About the Role

As a Mission Controller, you will be responsible for operating the 24/7 shift model, configuring and testing the operational system, and taking corrective action in case of ground or space segment anomalies. You will also participate in other operations-related activities, such as small system development and procedure maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate the mission control system, including the ground and space segments
  • Assist in configuring and testing the operational system

Requirements
  • Experience working with computer systems and PC literacy
  • Adaptable, self-disciplined, and able to work under stress
  • Shift rotation experience
  • Ability to work well in a small operations team
  • Solid background in a technical environment
  • Preferably a degree in a relevant subject, such as IT, Telecommunications, Physics, or Aerospace Engineering
