Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance the performance of European production facilities, focusing on two Acrylonitrile and one Ammonia unit, to maximize contributions and positively influence EBITDA and cash flow.
- Oversee all commercial functions related to the Ammonia and Nitric Acid sectors, encompassing sales, procurement, and supply chain management.
- Facilitate the loading processes of the Ammonia unit, identifying and capitalizing on additional sales opportunities to boost EBITDA.
- Guide decisions regarding the utilization of Acrylonitrile assets and their supply chain logistics.
- Assess optimal resource allocation across fixed costs, capital expenditures, and investments in working capital and projects.
- Play a pivotal role in shaping mid-term and long-term business strategies, securing approval from the Nitriles Board, and executing the agreed-upon strategies for various European operations.
- Influence both the annual budget and the five-year strategic business plan for Nitriles Europe through a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics, production capabilities, and profit margins.
- Lead and support the commercial management of investment projects aimed at European growth.
- Assist in global Ammonia-related initiatives and projects within Nitriles.
- Navigate the economic and production complexities associated with interconnected assets.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of the Acrylonitrile and Ammonia markets to evaluate both short-term and long-term market shifts and trends.
- Identify business development opportunities and spearhead related projects.
- Represent and advocate for Nitriles' commercial interests across the European supply chain.
Qualifications:
- At least 15 years of experience in commercial or business roles.
- Extensive knowledge and expertise in key functions within the chemical sector.
- Demonstrated success in supply chain optimization and effective negotiations with third parties.
- Proficient in project management and operational oversight.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge effectively.
- Proven experience in leading and motivating teams with a history of sustained success.
- Highly analytical, capable of quickly processing information, drawing insights, and making informed decisions.
