Lead Motor Control Engineer

Job Responsibilities
As a Senior Motor Control Engineer at Danfoss, you will take charge of the definition, development, and testing of motor control algorithms aimed at enhancing the energy efficiency and intelligence of our products. Working within the control team, you will partner with hardware design engineers, software engineers, and compressor design engineers to innovate next-generation frequency converters that empower our clients to excel in their respective industries.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Designing and developing advanced motor control algorithms for our compressor systems.
- Conducting computer-based modeling and simulation using Matlab/Simulink.
- Executing proof of concept development and validation for sophisticated control algorithms.
- Supporting design teams in troubleshooting and resolving issues within your area of expertise.
- Documenting engineering outcomes in reports, articles for trade magazines, white papers, and conference presentations.
Background & Skills
To thrive in this position, you should possess a master's degree in Control Engineering. You should be capable of applying innovative approaches and ideas to tackle complex challenges while optimizing the use of available resources.
Additionally, you should have:
- In-depth knowledge of model-based design principles.
- Proficient skills in control theory and data analytics.
- Extensive experience working within the Matlab/Simulink environment.
- Familiarity with motor control algorithms.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a global organization.
- Proficient written and spoken English.
- Experience in embedded programming (C/C++ language) is a plus.
