Join Our Team as an IT Support Engineer

Westfalia Fruit, a prominent global supplier of fresh produce and value-added products, is seeking an IT Support Engineer to enhance our operations. Our organization is dedicated to delivering high-quality avocadoes and fresh fruit throughout the year, leveraging our extensive supply chain.

About the Role

The IT Support Engineer will be instrumental in boosting user productivity and ensuring the integrity of our IT infrastructure. This role acts as a vital second tier of technical support, working closely with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve intricate IT challenges faced by users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and rectify complex technical problems related to hardware, software, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Ensure system performance and reliability through proactive maintenance and effective troubleshooting.
  • Oversee the ticketing system, managing incident prioritization and resolution within established service level agreements.
  • Provide training and support to users on various IT systems, applications, and tools.
  • Facilitate the onboarding and offboarding of staff, managing access permissions within Active Directory.
  • Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security measures.
  • Adhere to security policies and data protection regulations.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices in IT support.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient and responsive IT assistance.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives and the development of a knowledge base.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in providing onsite IT support at a second-line level.
  • Fluency in both German and English is required; proficiency in additional European languages is a plus.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft 365 and/or Azure environments, with relevant certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals or Azure Administrator Associate.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows Server and Workstation administration.
  • Strong understanding of Windows Active Directory and networking principles, including user management, security groups, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, showcasing strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional user support and prioritizing user satisfaction.
  • Experience working independently in a standalone role.
  • Willingness to work onsite full-time.
