Senior Development Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Development Engineer to lead our pre-development projects in the area of future mobility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastic engineering and experience in developing plastic components in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead projects in the pre-development phase, focusing on future mobility in areas such as aerodynamics, structural components, and E-vehicle parts
  • Design innovative solutions and systems in collaboration with development teams
  • Plan and evaluate calculations and simulations, and enhance related methodologies and processes
  • Coordinate and oversee the execution of tests and physical simulations
  • Present work results to project team, clients, and at trade shows and conferences
  • Work closely with Intellectual Property and Product Portfolio Management departments
Requirements:
  • Completed engineering degree in fields like plastic engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent
  • Experience in developing plastic components in the automotive industry
  • Knowledge in areas of fluid mechanics, composite materials, flame-retardant plastics, strength, testing, and development of structural components
  • Proficiency in German and English
  • Analytical and structured work approach, self-motivated, and strong communication skills
