Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Officer to join our team at EMBL. As the primary point of contact for the Staff Association, you will be responsible for coordinating meetings, events, and administrative tasks to support the association's activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate committee and working group meetings, including minute-taking and dissemination, as well as follow-up on action points.
  • Organize annual meetings, elections, and general meetings for the Staff Association.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support to Staff Association activities across sites.
  • Coordinate financial administration tasks, including budget distribution and audit coordination.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree with experience in administration and project management.
  • Foundational knowledge in finance and/or accounting.
  • An excellent command of English.
  • Proficiency in a second European language (German, French, Italian, or Spanish).
  • Office computing skills, web authoring experience, and minute-taking skills.
