Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Research Assistant (m/f/div) with a focus on Communication. This role is designed for individuals with foundational experience in science communication and project management, providing a platform for professional development in areas such as self-management and agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Research Assistant, you will play a vital role in our science-support team by independently managing various science-related administrative tasks.

  • Public Relations and Communication:
    Craft engaging content for digital platforms including websites and social media. Identify and explore innovative channels for effective science communication. Assist in the preparation of research reports and facilitate internal communication across diverse platforms.
  • Event Coordination:
    Oversee the CHM Seminar Series and assist in organizing conferences, career days, and other events.
  • Hospitality Management:
    Coordinate visits from scientists and ensure all necessary arrangements are in place.
  • Project Management:
    Support the management of large-scale research initiatives, including procurement workflows and data collection. Additionally, provide assistance to the CHM Science Support team with various upcoming projects and cover the Director's office during their absence.

Your Profile:
We prefer candidates with a bachelor's degree in science communication, science management, or related fields. Essential skills include:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities in both German and English.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and platforms for project management and communication (e.g., Trello, Figma).
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and external partners.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks concurrently with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • A genuine curiosity for science, particularly in AI, and a passion for supporting research initiatives.
