Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Research Assistant (m/f/div) with a focus on Communication. This role is designed for individuals with foundational experience in science communication and project management, providing a platform for professional development in areas such as self-management and agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
As a research assistant, you will play a vital role in our science-support team by independently handling various management tasks related to scientific projects.
- Public Relations and Communication:
Craft engaging content for our website and social media platforms, explore innovative channels for disseminating scientific information, assist in the creation of research reports, and facilitate internal communication across multiple platforms. - Event Coordination:
Oversee the CHM Seminar Series and assist in organizing conferences, career days, and other related events. - Hospitality Management:
Coordinate visits from scientists and ensure all necessary arrangements are in place. - Project Management:
Support the management of large-scale research initiatives, including procurement workflows and data collection. Additionally, provide assistance to the CHM Science Support team and cover for the Director's office when required.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in science communication, science management, or related fields. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English are essential. Familiarity with digital tools for project management and communication (such as Trello and Figma) is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary for effective collaboration with team members and external partners. The ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and a proactive approach to problem-solving are crucial. A genuine curiosity for science, particularly in AI, and a passion for supporting research initiatives are highly valued.
Our Offer:
This position offers a competitive salary up to pay grade 9b TVöD, along with comprehensive social benefits in accordance with TVöD Bund regulations. Enjoy a full-time schedule (39 hours/week), 30 vacation days, and the option for partial remote work.
